Terms and Conditions on Rented Items:

By accepting this estimate it means that you have read, understood and agreed to all the Terms and Conditions as set out below.

HIRED PROPERTY:

All hired goods remain the property of Making Memories at all times.

 

PAYMENTS:

1) A deposit of 50% percent is required to secure your booking.

2) Full payment is due two weeks prior to the date of your function.

3) A refundable breakage and loss deposit of 25% will be added to the final invoice.

4) The refund will be paid back within 7 days once the recon has been done.

 

Please Note: Failure to comply with payments as scheduled, could lead to cancellation of your Decor.

Payments can be made; Cash or EFT

 

CONFIRMATION: Your décor contract will only be confirmed once we have received.

2) Your confirmed quotation.

3) This confirmed Terms and Conditions Document.

 

SET UP and DÉCOR

Making Memories charges a set-up fee. Making Memories is not responsible for any décor set-up, unless stated on your invoice that Making Memories is appointed to do so.

Making Memories staff does not take or except responsibility for the following:

To assist with any set-up, such as the wedding cake, any stationary, flowers, music, sound equipment, table decorations or hall decorations of any sort whatsoever unless Making Memories is appointed to do so.

 

FINAL MEETING: ( Weddings )

A final meeting will be held 2 weeks prior to the function date to finalize all décor related issues. No further amendments are to be done 14 days prior to the function.

 

DAMAGES OR BREAKAGES:

1) Damages, breakages and shortages will be charged to the clients account according to the replacement value as indicated on the price list.

2) The Hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the goods, from the SET UP to THE CLEAN UP of the function.

3) Candles may not be placed directly on the linen.Only non drip candles are allowed to be used. Candle holders should be wide enough to ensure no wax damage occurs to the linen. For permanent wax damage to the linen or chairs a charge of R300-00 per item and R150 per item when dry cleaning is needed. The total will be charged to the hirer’s account.

 

DISCLAIMER CLAUSE:

No responsibility will be accepted for injury caused by use of goods and equipment hired.

 

CANCELLATIONS:

Decor will only be cancelled if such a cancellation instructions is received in writing.

Decor Cancellation penalties:

1) 6 Months or less prior to the function date. 25% of the total decor cost must be paid to Making Memories and is not refundable under any circumstances when cancelled.

2) 3 Months or less prior to the function date. 50% of the total decor cost must be paid to Making Memories and is not refundable under any circumstances when cancelled.

3) 1 moth or less prior to the function date: 100% of the monies owed to Making Memories must be paid in full.

 

RESCHEDULING:

3) A reschedule is treated as a cancellation. Making Memories will only reschedule a booked function if we have received such instructions in writing.

 

MOCK UP TABLE:

Please note that your first mock up table is included if you make use of our full services. Should you decide not to make use of our services, an amount of

R 475.00 is applicable per mock-up.

 

Any subsequent mock ups, eg. 2nd,3rd will each be charged at R 475.00

 

RETURNING OF ITEMS:

Any items returned after the agreed upon date will be charged for at the same rate agreed to on the invoice.

 

SERVICES:

1.No coordinating or planning services will be rendered unless it is specifically stated and charged for on the clients invoice.

2. If set up is to be done by Making Memories, A set up manager will be present only until all of the items reflected on Making Memories invoice is set up. If Services are required over and above the set up such as coordinating, a separate fee will be charged and must be arranged at least one month prior to the function date.

Terms and Conditions for the Flower Wall :

By accepting this estimate it means that you have read, understood and agreed to all the Terms and Conditions as set out below.

Flower Wall:

The Flower Wall remains the property of Making Memories Events & Décor (Pty) Ltd at all times.

 

PAYMENTS:

1) A deposit of 50% percent is required to secure your booking.

3) A refundable breakage and loss deposit of 25% will be added to the final invoice.

CONFIRMATION: Your Flower Wall contract will only be confirmed once Making Memories Events & Décor (Pty) Ltd have received :

3) Signed Copy of Terms and Conditions Document

 

DAMAGES OR BREAKAGES:

1) Damages, breakages and shortages will be charged to the clients account according to the replacement value set below.

2) The Hirer/client, is responsible for any loss or damage to the Flower Wall, from the SET UP to COLLECTION of the Flower Wall.

3) For every missing flower the hirer/client will be charged R65 ( excl Vat ) per flower

4) The Blush Pink Flower Wall will be charged at R28 080

(excl VAT) if the Flower Wall is vandalized / damaged / stolen.

 

DISCLAIMER CLAUSE:

No responsibility will be accepted for injury caused by use of the Flower Wall hired.

Flower Wall Cancellation penalties:

  1. Anything less than 72 Hours notice will forfeit the booking and no money will be returned other than the breakage deposit
  2. 1-3 Weeks before event 25% fee will be incurred of total invoice fee
  3. More than 4 weeks a full payment return will be done to the client

 

RESCHEDULING:

3) A reschedule is treated as a cancellation. Making Memories Events & Décor (Pty) Ltd will only reschedule a booked function if we have received such instructions in writing.

 

SET-UP AND COLLECTION :

Set-up will be done by Making Memories Events & Décor (Pty) Ltd only. A set up manager will be present only until all of the items reflected on Making Memories Events & Décor (Pty) Ltd invoice is set up. If Services are required over and above the set up such as coordinating, a separate fee will be charged and must be arranged at least one month prior to the function date.

For set-up of the Flower Wall at least 2.5m x 2.5m space is needed.

The hirer/client is not allowed to move the Flower Wall from the set-up area.
